Calbiga Cave - The 2,968 hectare cave system has the Philippines' biggest karst formations, which is also believed to be the largest in Asia. It is composed of twelve caves with a wide underground space, unique rock fomations and subterranean watercourse. The surface area of Calbiga Cave has a mid-mountain forest which is the habitat of some threatened wild species like bats, cave crickets, eyeless shell fishes. Located in Calbiga, 52 km. from Tacloban City, the cave is six kilometers from the town and is accessible by land transport then by foot.
Samar Archeological Museum - Opened on April 11, 1970, it is the first and only museum in Samar Island. The Samar Archeological Museum and Research Center houses a collection of archelogical artifacts, which include burial and covers, log coffin, jarlets, cups, howls, saucers and dishes dating back to the 14th Century, heirlooms, old household items, religious items such as saints, altar, chalices, and monstrance located in Christ the King College in Calbayog City.
Basey Church - The Basey 17th Century Church, also known as the St. Micheal the Archangel Church is an old Catholic Church built during the Spanish Era. It features a watchtower and old images of saints on the ceiling. The church is located in Basey, commonly accessible within a 45-minute drive from Tacloban City.
